GKS KATOWICE 5-2 WISŁA KRAKÓW: GKS' domination

It was not a good day for Wisła Kraków, who had to make a lineup change before the match when Dawid Szot got injured during warm-up. Subsequent events, such as a red card and an injury to Igor Łasicki, did not help the team from Reymonta. Ultimately, GIEKSA won 5-2 and secured a place in the playoffs for the Ekstraklasa.

The match began with R22 attacking down the right, but Kudła intercepted. Katowice quickly countered but was stopped. Early on, Katowice dominated, but in the 4th minute, Kudła cleared a dangerous pass to Rodado with a diving header. GIEKSA then countered, leading to Satrustegui's red card in the 5th minute, leaving Wisła with ten men.

Coach Rude brought on Mariusz Kutwa in the 12th minute to bolster Wisła's defence. Despite being a man down, Wisła took the lead in the 20th minute with a goal from Ángel Rodado. GIEKSA equalised two minutes later through Arkadiusz Jędrych. Wisła suffered another blow when Igor Łasicki was injured and replaced by Igor Sapała. In the 30th minute, Adrian Błąd's long-range shot gave GIEKSA a 2-1 lead.

Despite the setbacks, Ángel Rodado continued to push for Wisła, but GIEKSA remained in control. The second half started with a 47th-minute goal by Grzegorz Rogala. In the 63rd minute, an own goal by Marc Carbó extended GIEKSA's lead to 4-1.

Wisła's coach made late changes, but they had little effect. Wisła scored a second goal eight minutes before the end through Rodado, but GIEKSA sealed their victory with a fifth goal in the final minutes. The match ended with GIEKSA winning decisively.
