The match between Wisła Kraków and Ruch Chorzów began with intense, end-to-end action. Wisła's Alan Uryga attempted a shot from outside the box, but Konczkowski cleared it just in time. Ruch's Kozak tested Wisła's goalkeeper Chichkan with a powerful long-range shot. Despite chances on both sides, the first 30 minutes ended without a goal.
Before halftime, Ruch gained a slight advantage, but Wisła's goalkeeper denied their efforts. In added time, Sukiennicki hit the post, and Angel Rodado scored from a Marc Carbó pass, giving Wisła a 1-0 lead at the break.

Ruch then focused on defence, but Wisła regained the lead in the 75th minute after Rodado converted a penalty following a VAR-confirmed foul on Carbó. Although Rodado scored again, the goal was disallowed due to an offside.
