In a rain-soaked match, Wisła Kraków started aggressively, dominating possession and creating several early chances. James Igbekeme had a golden opportunity but struck the post, while Angel Rodado's shot also hit the woodwork. Warta Poznań struggled to break free from Wisła's high press, and their goalkeeper, Jędrzej Grobelny, was kept busy in the first 15 minutes.

Substitutions by Wisła, including bringing on Alfaro and Zwoliński, added more attacking power, but the hosts couldn't find the breakthrough.

Wisła piled on the pressure in the final minutes, with the fourth official adding five minutes of stoppage time. However, Warta defended resolutely, and despite Wisła’s best efforts, they couldn’t find an equalizer. Warta held on to secure a hard-fought 1-0 victory.
