Today, the 'White Star' clashed with a team from Głogów in a rescheduled match from the 10th round of the Betclic 1. Liga. The game was packed with emotions and concluded with a thrilling victory for Wisła Kraków, 0-3.
First Half
Wisła Kraków started the match with high pressing against Chrobry’s goal. In just the 2nd minute, Wisła had an opportunity to score the opening goal with a corner kick. The White Star didn’t have to wait long to take the lead. Just a few minutes later, Bartosz Jaroch executed a throw-in, sending the ball to Baena, who spotted Rodado and passed it to him. Rodado finished the action brilliantly, scoring the opening goal to make it 0-1.
That goal opened the floodgates, as no later than three minutes later, Łukasz Zwoliński orchestrated another attack. He passed the ball to Rodado, who finished it with a precise header, putting the ball into the opponent’s net. The scoreboard now showed 0-2 in favor of Wisła.
In the 16th minute, Łukasz Zwoliński had a one-on-one situation to further extend the lead, but his shot was blocked by a Chrobry defender. Two minutes later, Mateusz Lewandowski from Chrobry attempted to challenge Wisła’s goal, but his shot missed the target. In the 26th minute, Chrobry created a dangerous chance. Mateusz Lewandowski broke through Wisła’s defensive line and almost scored, but his shot hit the post and bounced away.
The remainder of the first half was a midfield battle, with both teams fighting for possession and looking to capitalise on opportunities. Wisła sought to extend their lead, while Chrobry tried to get back into the game. Despite their efforts, the first half ended with Wisła leading 0-2.
Second Half
The second half began with a substitution for Wisła Kraków: Alfaro entered the pitch, replacing Igbekeme. Although much of the action took place in midfield, with both teams battling for possession, Wisła continued to create dangerous opportunities.
Just five minutes after the restart, Zwoliński dribbled past defenders and unleashed a brilliant shot, but the ball struck the crossbar. In the 59th minute, Wisła came close to extending their lead, but Chrobry’s goalkeeper made a crucial save. A minute later, Kiakos delivered a corner kick, but it landed straight in Arndt’s hands. In the 63rd minute, Zwoliński missed an opportunity, sending the ball wide of the net. Despite this, Wisła maintained their attacking momentum, with Kuziemka, Mikulec, and Alfaro all attempting to find the back of the net.
Chrobry responded in the 73rd minute, as Szwedzik forced a save from Wisła’s goalkeeper, Patryk Letkiewicz. A minute later, Chrobry increased their offensive pressure, but Wisła’s defence remained resolute. In the 75th minute, Zwoliński had another go but failed to convert. Mikulec then attempted to penetrate Chrobry’s defence, and the ball eventually reached Rodado, whose shot was once again saved by the opposition's goalkeeper.
With ten minutes remaining, Wisła made further changes to their lineup, with Zwoliński making way for Duarte. The visitors continued to dominate, and in the 83rd minute, Giannis Kiakos sealed the match with a superb solo effort, scoring Wisła’s third goal. During extra time, Duarte nearly added a fourth but narrowly missed the target.
The match concluded with Wisła securing a commanding 3-0 victory, earning three crucial points in the league.
