Friday night means only one thing - another Wisła’s match. In the 13th round of Betclic 1. Liga, Wisła Kraków defeated the table leader Bruk-Bet Termalica Nieciecza 2-0! The goals for the White Star were scored twice by Łukasz Zwoliński, delighting the fans gathered at the R22 stadium.
The match started with both teams testing each other, with Wisła gradually gaining control. After 15 minutes, Rodado had a chance to open the scoring, but he pushed the ball too far ahead, allowing Termalica’s goalkeeper Adrian Chovan to intercept. Wisła ramped up the pressure and surrounded the visitors’ penalty area, creating numerous shooting opportunities. In the 27th minute, Zwoliński found the back of the net, but his effort was ruled out for offside. Shortly after, Tamas Kiss came close with a one-on-one chance, only for his follow-up shot to hit the post.
The first half ended goalless, but both teams showed promise, with Patryk Letkiewicz and Adrian Chovan making crucial saves.
During the second half, Termalica made two substitutions, introducing Taras Zaviiskyi and Kwasi Fassbender, which improved their offensive play. Despite more possession, they struggled to break through Wisła’s solid defense. The game became increasingly physical, with numerous fouls slowing the tempo.
In the 78th minute, Wisła finally broke the deadlock. Zwoliński capitalised on a smart pass from Baena and struck the ball past Chovan to give the home side the lead. Wisła didn’t let up and continued to press, while Termalica failed to find an offensive rhythm. In stoppage time, Zwoliński sealed the win with a header, scoring his second goal of the match and ensuring all three points for Wisła.
