There is a return to R22, but in a different role. Łukasz Załuska joins the coaching staff of the first team as the goalkeeping coach. The contract is valid until June 30, 2024, with an option to extend.
Łukasz Załuska was born on June 16, 1982, and is undoubtedly a familiar figure under the Wawel Castle. Before joining R22 in July 2016, he gained valuable experience, including on the international stage. Throughout his football career, he represented clubs such as Legia Warsaw, Jagiellonia Białystok, Pogoń Szczecin, and notably Dundee United FC and Celtic FC. With Celtic FC, he won the Scottish Premiership four times, adding two national cups and the Scottish League Cup.
He was first called up to the national team in August 2008 for the World Cup 2010 qualifying matches. However, his debut for the Polish national team took place in June 2009 during a friendly match against South Africa.
Załuska had the opportunity to share his knowledge through his work with the national teams at the U19 and U20 levels, coaching young goalkeepers.
