The main goal of season 2023/24 was to advance to the Ekstraklasa level of the Polish Football League. The team of Wisła Kraków finished this season out of the play-off zone and lost its chance to fight for advancement. 

The „White Star” placement in the league’s table is far beneath aimed expectations. For a long time, all aspects of the club's operations, both historical and current, have been subjected to a comprehensive analysis, indicating the need for further reforms regardless of the competition level.

The past season was complex. For the first time, in 21 years, Wisła Kraków won the Polish Cup, allowing the club to participate in the Europa League qualifiers. 

Financial plans for the next edition were built on two fronts - in case of promotion to the Ekstraklasa and in case of its absence. This means that the functioning of Wisła Kraków is not at risk, but the club's budget needs to be readjusted to the conditions of the first league. Revenues from winning the FORTUNA Polish Cup and the Europa League/Conference League qualifiers will be allocated to ongoing operations. Further steps will be announced in the coming weeks.

By the end of June, the club will present a three-year operational strategy covering all competition levels.
