Wisła Kraków has appointed Karol Nędza as the new head coach of their reserve team, with Łukasz Kawa as his assistant. Both previously led the U-19 side, achieving strong results this season and are well-acquainted with the club’s structure.
Karol Nędza (born 4 September 1989) is a Academy of Physical Education graduate in Kraków and holds a UEFA A Elite Youth coaching licence. A former Górnik Wieliczka player, his career was cut short by injury, leading him to focus on coaching. He has been with Wisła since 2019, first as an assistant in the reserves before moving to the U-18 and later the U-19 squad, which he guided to a title challenge this season.
His assistant, Łukasz Kawa (born 30 June 1995), began his career at Hutnik Kraków in 2008 before transitioning to coaching youth teams. He joined Wisła in 2021 as an assistant with the U-18s and later worked alongside Nędza with the U-19s. He is currently undertaking his UEFA A Elite Youth licence.
Krystian Żakowicz steps down as assistant but will remain in the academy. Other staff, including fitness coach Mateusz Fortuna, goalkeeper coach Sergiusz Mihajlow, and physiotherapists Grzegorz Pietrzyk and Ryszard Polak, continue in their roles.
Nędza’s tenure begins with a busy schedule, facing Pogoń-Sokół Lubaczów and Wiślanie Skawina, alongside a regional Polish Cup tie against LKS Jawiszowice.
