Albert Rudé appointed as Wisła Kraków's Head Coach

Everything is now clear! The 37-year-old coach, Albert Rudé, will take charge of the first team at Wisła Kraków. The contract has been signed until June 30, 2024, with an option to extend.

Albert Rudé was born on September 18, 1987, in Girona. After concluding his football playing career at the age of 24, he embarked on his own development, earning a degree in sports science and defending a doctorate in Sport Science at the Universitat Central de Catalunya. The next step in his career was the establishment of his own coaching school, MBP, which provides guidance in over 15 leagues and federations, educating coaches worldwide based on advanced training methods. The new coach of the White Star holds a UEFA PRO license. Albert Rudé is also the author of books and publications on the process of building modern football teams.

In December 2015, he became the assistant coach to Diego Martin Alonso at CF Pachuca in the Liga MX. Over the course of three years, the team won the championship, the CONCACAF Champions League, and the bronze medal at the Club World Cup in 2017. This was not the end of his adventure in the top tier of Mexican football, as his career also included stints with Querétaro FC Youth and CF Monterrey.

In January 2020, a new challenge arose with a move to Inter Miami CF and collaboration with Diego Martinez Alonso and David Beckham in the inaugural season of the club in MLS. Several years of collaboration with Diego Martin Alonso, who coached the Uruguayan national team in the last World Cup and recently served as the coach of FC Sevilla, resulted in numerous successes and extensive experience, which added value in subsequent stages of his career.

In 2021, Albert Rudé took on the role of the head coach of LD Alajuelense in Costa Rica - one of the biggest teams in the country. Under his guidance, the team finished the regular season in first place with 83 points and a goal difference of 35 over the second-placed team. The last club on his football CV is the Spanish CD Castellón, where he reached the playoffs with his team, and the club is known for its use of data and new technologies in the coaching process.

Mariusz Jop will serve as the assistant head coach. Eric Lira Fernandez will also join the coaching staff, which includes Kazimierz Kmiecik and Michał Siwierski as assistants.

Welcome to R22, and best of luck, coach!
